Trata del levantamiento y de la representaci\u00f3n de la forma y de la superficie de la Tierra, global y parcial, con sus formas naturales y artificiales.<\/p>\n<p>La Geodesia tambi\u00e9n es usada en matem\u00e1ticas para la medici\u00f3n y el c\u00e1lculo sobre superficies curvas. Se usan m\u00e9todos semejantes a aquellos usados en la superficie curva de la Tierra.<\/p>\n<p>La geodesia toma en cuenta la curvatura de la tierra para hacer las mediciones y en esta regularmente se hacen levantamientos m\u00e1s grandes.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, se ocupa del estudio de la forma y dimensiones de la tierra, as\u00ed como de los m\u00e9todos y procedimientos de creaci\u00f3n de las redes de puntos de apoyo, que sirven como base planim\u00e9trica y altim\u00e9trica para los levantamientos topogr\u00e1ficos y la realizaci\u00f3n de los mapas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topograf\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, la topograf\u00eda es la ciencia que estudia el conjunto de principios y procedimientos que tienen por objeto la representaci\u00f3n gr\u00e1fica de la superficie terrestre, con sus formas y detalles; tanto naturales como artificiales.<\/p>\n<p>Esta representaci\u00f3n tiene lugar sobre superficies planas, limit\u00e1ndose a peque\u00f1as extensiones de terreno.
